Dust Bowl Slider is a collection of tunes I recorded over a thirty year period with diverse groups of players in jazz, blues, and jam band genres. Most of the tunes were recorded using analog gear, from 2-track to 24-track and we had to bake many of the tapes in an oven to even play them at all! Now the music has been restored for your listening pleasure. One major thread that runs through the project is renowned acoustic/electric bassist and long time friend, Bill Plummer. You can hear Bill's amazing work with the Rolling Sones (Exile On Main Street), Tom Waits, Miles Davis, Ry Cooder, Tony Bennett and...you get what I mean...now here.

Also making appearances on the album are harmonica player Dale Spalding, who performs with Canned Heat and Pancho Sanchez, and Tom Fowler (Frank Zappa and Ray Charles) who playson the stereo bass version of At The Right Time with Bill Plummer. Some amazing drumming can be heard by Larry Zack (Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt) and Dave Attwood (America).

All tunes on Dust Bowl Slider were recorded and produced by Joey Latimer in Idyllwild and La Quinta, California except: Out In The Night was recorded by Joey at Fidelity Studios in Studio City, California and co-produced with Bill Tinker and Mark Erwin and assisted by Steve Knox. Your Kind Of Love was recorded and co-produced by Dave Swanson at Stone Fly Recording in Stonewood, Calfironia.

Special thanks to Bill Plummer, Tinker and Erwin, Elaine Latimer, Keith McCabe, Chuck Alvarez, Dale Spalding, Dave Swanson, Hot Lips and Fingertips, Steve Crimmel at Painted Sky Studio, Café Aroma, Uncle Larry, Robin, Erin, Cedar, and Jackson.
